How to copy and paste text, photo and object on Windows 8

Copy and Paste in Windows 8 is very basic and very similar to copy and paste on Windows Phone, iPhone or Android. You can still use your keyboard to copy and paste text, like in Windows 7. With your keyboard, press Ctrl + C to copy and press Ctrl + V to paste selected text. You can cut text and image in addition to copying and pasting them. Next I will show you how copy and paste object, photo and text in Windows 8, using touch and mouse.

Copy item on desktop

Touch: Tap on item to select it.

Tap and hold until you see a square then let go to bring up context menu.

When context menu or options appear the square will disappear and select Copy.

Mouse: Right-click once with your mouse to bring context menu and select Copy.

Copy text

Touch: Tap a text and Windows will highlight the text. You will see two bubble, one on either end of the highlighted text.

Drag the bubble to the left or to the right to highlight more texts. When you start dragging, the bubble will disappear.

Tap the selected texts you highlighted once or tap and hold until you see a square then let go to bring up context menu. Select Copy.

Mouse: Left-click and drag your cursor to highlight selected text. Right-click once to bring up context menu and select Copy.
